1. What These Terms Cover

These terms apply to this website and to every inspection, report and estimate provided through it. My Roof Appraisal is a service of FMF Roofing & Construction, LLC ("we," "us"). Using the site or booking an inspection means you accept these terms. Any roofing work is governed by a separate written agreement; where that agreement and this page differ, the signed agreement controls.

2. Free Inspections

The free roof inspection costs nothing and carries no obligation to hire us or anyone else. It is a visual inspection of the parts of the roof that can be safely reached and seen on the day. It does not include removing shingles, opening walls or ceilings, or testing materials, and it cannot find every hidden defect.

We may decline or postpone an inspection when weather, roof pitch, height, access or safety conditions make it unsafe to go on the roof.

3. Roof Condition Reports

A roof condition report describes what we observed on the roof on the date of the inspection, with photos. It is an opinion of the roof's visible condition from a roofing contractor. It is not a home appraisal, does not state a value for the property, is not a home inspection under the Texas Real Estate Commission, and is not a warranty or a guarantee of the roof's remaining life.

Roof conditions change with weather and time. A report speaks only to the date on it.

4. Storm Damage and Insurance

We can document roof damage with photos and a written description for you to share with your insurance company. We are a roofing contractor, not a public adjuster. We do not represent you, negotiate, or adjust your insurance claim, and we make no promise about whether a claim will be paid or how much.

We will not pay, waive, rebate or absorb any part of your insurance deductible. Texas law prohibits it.

5. Estimates and Pricing

Any repair or replacement estimate is provided in writing. The written proposal you sign is the price. Prices can change with material costs if the proposal is not accepted within the period stated on it.

6. Text Messaging

If you check the SMS consent box on our form or ask us in writing to text you, we may send text messages about your inspection, report, estimate, scheduling and service updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent Texas law allows, our liability for any claim arising from a free inspection or a report is limited to the amount you paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for conditions that were hidden or not visible on the day of the inspection.

8. Photos and Content

The photographs, copy and design of this website belong to FMF Roofing & Construction or are used with permission. Do not copy or republish them without written consent. Photos taken of your roof during an inspection are yours to keep and use.

9. Privacy

We collect only what we need to answer you and do the work. We do not sell your information. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect, how we use it and your rights.

10. Disputes

Texas law governs these terms. Before filing anything, contact us and give us a real chance to make it right. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be settled by binding arbitration in Montgomery County, Texas, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Each of us waives a jury trial and class participation. Either of us may still bring an individual claim in small claims court.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date below shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
